INTRODUCTION

Reflexology is a popular holistic non-invasive therapy aiming to treat the 'whole person' in order to bring about re-balance and encourage your body to achieve 'homeostasis' in a therapeutic way, by helping maintain health and creating a feeling of well-being.

Reflexology applies gentle pressure to the reflex points on your feet that correspond to all of your body systems, so that your body's natural abilities are stimulated.

About Enchanted Healing Therapies

At Enchanted Healing Therapies know feet aren't everyone's favourite body part, but we love feet; small feet, big feet, wonky toes, little toes, and even hairy toes! Why? Because we love Reflexology - this gentle pressure to the reflex points of the feet can help regain the natural balance of the body aiding relaxation and wellbeing.

Feet don't have to be perfectly pedicured for this treatment and it often helps if they are not so that I can see where the problem areas may be. Don't be shy we all have weird feet, me included.

I strongly believe that self-care is a necessity and not a luxury. I have experienced the stress throughout my life from postnatal depression to looking after an autistic child. I understand that the constraints of everyday life often in the battle for our time. I also know how importance of a dedicated self-care route and how it can give us the strength and confidence we need to face life head on.

While I been in business in the last year I secured client receiving reflexology Back by The Health Authority and they are part of research to use complementary therapies in pain management. NOW I AM AFFILIATED BY N.H.S.

In January 2018 I will be starting a support group for reflexologist. Called East Midlands Reflexology Support Group. I feel it’s much needed in the area as we never had a group to now.

Enchanted Healing Therapies offers price scales across all our reflexology treatments. We operate through NHS, health insurance and non profit social enterprise.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a popular holistic non-invasive therapy aiming to treat the 'whole person' in order to bring about re-balance and encourage your body to achieve 'homeostasis' in a therapeutic way, by helping maintain health and creating a feeling of well-being.

Reflexology applies gentle pressure to the reflex points on your feet that correspond to all of your body systems, so that your body's natural abilities are stimulated.

As a reflexologist we do not claim to cure or to diagnose any medical conditions, but rather we do trained work on clients with medical conditions without medical permission. We always refer any client to their doctor when it’s required.

Reflexology on a regular basis may help to promote and maintain the natural balance of your bodys’ systems. This encourages self-healing and promotes good health. It isn't ticklish as the pressure ranges from a feather like touch, ideal for those with extremely sensitive feet, to a firm pressure for individuals who prefer a much deeper reflexology treatment.

When the body is unbalanced following illness, stress or injury, energy pathways become blocked and prevent the body from functioning properly. Reflexology helps remove these blockages allowing the energy to flow freely again, improving sleep, and helping you to feel emotionally and physically rejuvenated.

CLINICAL REFLEXOLOGY?

Clinical Reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment. It has been known for some people to fall asleep during treatment. Others feel some tenderness in certain areas corresponding to reflexes which link to parts of the body which are out of balance.

Clinical reflexology therapy works alongside conventional medical care to help to treat medical conditions or can be carried out in conjunction with your GP or hospital consultant’s treatment plan.

About Elephant Rooms

Elephant Rooms is a not for profit social enterprise specialising the promotion of community health and wellbeing. The vision is: "To provide a diverse range of natural therapies, classes and workshops promoting health and wellbeing for the local community. The objective is to provide something for everyone; a wide range of therapies and treatments across the spectrum focussed on natural health and wellbeing."

When choosing the name of the business we knew we wanted something that reflected the history of the building. The historical records show that the original barn was built in Jacobean times and as such is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, building in Draycott village. The original use of the barn was agricultural but the buildings have also been used as a dairy, joiner’s workshop, coffin maker and an inn and more recently the Beetroot Tree art gallery.

When researching the history I came across an article reporting that when the circuses came to Draycott the only building big enough to house the elephants was this one. Toying with the idea of elephant being in the name I visited Sheffield, on exiting the station I came face to face with two very large and colourful elephants, part of the Herd of Sheffield art-trail. The trail included 58 elephants, each individually designed by different artists. The name Elephant Rooms was sealed!
